J.C. Hutchins, author of the ridiculously successful 7th. Son podcast novels, has kindly agreed to play an audio promo for The Corridor on his 7th. Son: Destruction podcast feed. This is good news for me because he has about a zillion listeners.
If you’ve been trapped in a mine collapse until recently, and so have never heard of J.C.’s work, why not check it out by following the links above.

So, Zan, are you aware of how many listeners/fans Hutch has? The last I heard it was well into 6 digits. Is “The Corridor” ready for that much exposure?
Not to make you nervous or anything.
Seriously, it’s a great coup to get your promo played on 7th Son, very good indeed!

It wasn’t much of a coup - I just asked and he very kindly obliged.
And I think it will take a lot more than this to get me that kind of following.

I’ve introduced some excited folks to podiobooks recently and your book and Hutchins’ were my only recommendations!
I miss the Corridor. Thanks, Zan.

Thanks, Shay. In the end, it’s all about word of mouth.

Since we often spoke of music here, I wanted to drop by and mention that there’s a podcast that uses 90 seconds of didgeridoo to begin every episode. It helped me understand why people might complain about music in a podcast. In the end, I couldn’t take it. I’d tell you which one it was but I have been sampling quite a few lately and I forget.
Cheers.

Hmmm. The didgeridoo is an important part of Australian Aboriginal culture, but I have to admit I often wish it didn’t enjoy so much popularity outside Aboriginal culture.

Wow, has it really been so long since The Corridor finished? I never did hear that promo.
But I’ll always have so many vivid memories of the scenes from the book that the promo could not have done it better.
